Meet Julie
Hello, My name is Julie Crabtree and I am a graduate of Millikin University with a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education. I attended one of Millikin’s first PACE programs and graduated in 2007. I also have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Richland Community College. I joined Maroa-Forsyth school district family in 2016.
I have been married for going on 20 years to Jeff. We have two girls, Maggie and Liv who are currently in high school. I started working in Daycare with my associates degree and then stayed home with our girls while they were little. I had a home daycare while they were little and attended Millikin at night when I knew I wanted to teach in public school.
I come from several generations living in Maroa, and graduating from Maroa-Forsyth Schools. Maroa has always been my home and I love the small town life. I have always worked with younger children since I can remember, starting with babysitting, sunday school, and children’s choir, to youth groups, and the library, but always teaching.
Sometimes you just know where you are meant to be…it just might take you a little longer to get there!!
