Years at MFHS
8 years from 2010-2018 and this school year
B.S. Special Education, Masters in Educational Administration- Eastern Illinois University
I was born in Richmond, Indiana. My family moved to Decatur, Illinois the summer before my fifth grade year. I graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 1995. I attended Eastern Illinois University from 1995-1999.
I taught the first 10 years of my career at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Decatur. I transferred to Maroa-Forsyth in the summer of 2010 and taught here through the 2018 school year. Then, my family relocated to Chapel Hill, NC where I taught at Chapel Hill High School for almost two years when an unexpected job opportunity came open for my wife back in Decatur. We moved from North Carolina back to Illinois at the end of February 2020.
I have been married to my wonderful wife Danielle for 22 years and we have a five year old son named Tucker. We also have a dog named Summitt. I love to workout, run, and spend time with my family and friends.
